What we collect

When you apply to join the Latera team or engage us as a client, we collect:

• Name, email address, and WhatsApp / phone number
• Resume, portfolio links, and application answers
• Company name and role details (for client inquiries)
• Communication history with our team
• If you use the Delegation Audit: your business type, the tasks and weekly hours you select, the hourly value you enter, and (only if you choose to give them) your first name and email
• Basic site analytics we collect ourselves: a random visitor ID stored in your browser, pages viewed, referring page, campaign tags (UTM), and clicks on our booking, text, WhatsApp and apply links. We don't use third-party ad trackers.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Contact you about opportunities and next steps in your application
• Match applicants to prospective clients
• Deliver the services you've hired us for
• Send occasional operational updates (schedule changes, contract terms)
• Email you your Delegation Audit results and, if you gave your email, a short follow-up series of up to four emails over seven days. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and the series stops when you book a call.
• Understand which pages and links help visitors, so we can improve the site

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for advertising to third parties.

Third parties we share data with

To run the business we rely on a small set of vendors, each with their own privacy terms:

• Stripe — contractor payouts (Stripe Connect) where available
• Wise, PayPal or the contractor's bank — contractor payouts where Stripe isn't available; we store only the payout details the contractor provides
• Jotform — application intake forms
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Twilio — SMS and WhatsApp messages
• Supabase — secure database hosting for leads, applications and site analytics
• Netlify — website hosting
• Jitsi Meet — video for hiring calls (booked on this site; no account needed)

We share only what each vendor needs to perform its function.

Retention

We keep applicant and client data for 12 months after your last contact with us, after which it is deleted from our active systems. Financial and tax records may be retained longer where law requires it.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the data we hold on you, correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete your records at any time. Email hello@hiralatera.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

California residents (CalOPPA)

California residents may request disclosure of the categories of personal information we've collected and any third parties with whom we've shared it in the preceding 12 months, and may request deletion of that information, subject to legal exceptions. Contact hello@hiralatera.com.
